Trees at MRQ Organics
Trees on our farm help protect biodiversity by providing nesting sites, food, shelter, a haven from predators or corridors for migration, while also providing on-farm benefits to us. These trees also provide shelter to animals both domestic and wild during rainy seasons.
For Example: By providing wild birds habitat to contribute to pest insect management and reducing the pest control costs.
Above all, if they are treated as long term crop like we do, it yields good fortune over the years. As wood is an expensive commodity here in Pakistan. Maintaining them is super easy, as you have to trim them once a year which provides good source of wood for bone fires during winter times.
In longer run, once sold in bulk, after 5 – 10 years, you get really good amount of timber from them, and it is priced higher as well.
